I was raised Catholic but never really believed in it and
was pretty much an atheist beginning around age 12. I
was also an avid science fiction and fantasy reader.
After my sun stare/naked thorn hill climb/blue rose vision
of Sept. 5/6, 1991 I turned neopagan, with my first
deities being Gaia the Earth, which I associate with
my blue rose vision, and Sola the Sun, which I associate
with my sun stare.
These days I consider myself a polytheistic pantheist,
and have eight main deities which I list on
http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/deities.html . So I
have my own individual neopagan religion but am
not recruiting. But I am pushing some mostly
nonreligious messages listed on
Both those web pages are subpages of my Salmon on
the Thorns web page, which lists my mystic experiences
over the years and attempts to demonstrate that I
am similar to some past figures including Taliesin (Gwion),
Finn (Fionn), and Amergin, among others.
I've been posting to alt.religion.wicca with my current
e-mail address since December, 1996 but I am pretty
sure I posted earlier than that from
***@MACHINE-NAME.geop.ubc.ca but that doesn't
appear to show up on groups.google.com so
it could be that my earliest post to alt.religion.wicca
was Dec. 17, 1996.
I posted a bit earlier on alt.pagan ,
groups.google.com has an earliest post of
November, 1993, though I thought I had posted
earlier, including with my massive crosspost
Poe-M of mid-June, 1993, which might not be
in the archive since it was to many groups.
But another scan turned up an earliest post of
August 19, 1992, in a thread on pagan fiction.
And groups.google.com seems to say that my
earliest post to alt.religion.druid was
Jan. 5, 1997.
So while I posted to alt.pagan when I was at
The University of British Columbia, I didn't
post to alt.religion.wicca and alt.religion.druid
until late 1996/early 1997.
But anyway I've been posting to this group
for 17.5 years. However I am not Wiccan
though I have some Wiccan friends and am
a little Wiccan influenced, and my top deity
is ALL which some Wiccans call The All or The Source.
